Although granite is a very dense and hard material, it is common to find that over time your countertop may need repair from normal wear and tear. The best option is to consult with a technician so that we may assess the situation and provide the best solution.
If it is an issue that can be repaired, Bella Granite will coordinate with you to have the issue resolved in a timely manner.
Granite is a purely mined stone, meaning a granite slab is 100% natural. Because it is a natural stone, the porosity and density varies, which gives each slab its own completely unique aesthetic characteristics.
Quartz, by contrast, is engineered from roughly 90-94% mined quartz crystals combined with resins and adhesives, making it virtually poreless and denser than natural stone. This makes it highly stain-resistant and maintenance-free, though it lacks the natural uniqueness of mined granite.
We handle full in-house fabrication and installation, which gives us great flexibility. If you find a stone or material style you like that is not currently in our yard, we can easily source any slab you want from our global distributor network and have it custom fabricated for your project.
Every material has its pros and cons. Granite or dolomite, for example, provides a more natural look but may be more susceptible to staining if not properly maintained.
Quartz may be a better option in some cases, but some find it to have a slight synthetic look. It is also not recommended for outdoor projects because of the adhesives used to bind the engineered material together. Consulting a representative to address your specific project concerns would be best to help decide which would be the best option for you.
While no stone is completely indestructible, granite, marble, and quartz are dense materials that need minimal upkeep. Quartz is closest to maintenance-free as it is non-porous and never requires sealing.
Granite typically requires sealing once a year depending on the sealant used, but the overall maintenance is very straightforward and only requires washing with warm, soapy water.
Beyond template, fabrication, and countertop installation, we also offer custom tile backsplash installation, sink and faucet installation, and cabinet services to ensure a complete, seamless kitchen or bathroom renovation.
